2010: Episode Three: Republican Defeat?

In the last two elections, 2006 and 2008, the voters have rejected the ideas of conservatism. In the last forty years, Democrats held the White House only 12 years, two terms of Bill Clinton and one term of Jimmy Carter. The Republicans held the White House 28 years of the last 40. I believe the voters ware tired of too many republicans in the White House. The Republican party has record low approval rates, so this points to a encore of the sweeps of the last two election cycles. Democrats have the chance of winning 9 more senate seats in the 2010 Senate election. These states are New Hampshire, Ohio, Missouri, Kentucky, Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Iowa and Louisiana. The Daily Kos has a good analysis of these states at http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/10/7/11452/9502/401/620980

Obama Advances 50 Promises

510 Promises
Promise Kept: 11 or 2.15%
Compromise: 3 or 0.58%
Promise Broken: 2 or 0.39%
Stalled: 0 or 0%
In the Works: 20 or 3.92%
No Action: 474 or 92 %

Obama signs stimulus package, so that advances 50 promises he had made during the campaign. So if all the 50 promises are taken from No Action, the number decreases to 424 or 83.13% total of all promises. Not bad for a president who's in office for a month. Here's the link to the article.

Victory for the Democrats!

After a month of negotiations between the Democrats and Republicans, the stimulus package has completed final passage through Congress. This is a victory for Obama's party. This stimulus package shall work with tax cuts, bank bailouts and a mortgage prevention fund to stop this recession. As demonstrated by FDR, government spending is the only way to dig a country out of a recession. When you put millions of people back to work, consumer spending and confidence goes up. This leads to businesses rehiring people because the businesses actually make a profit. This creates a cycle of businesses hiring people, the people spending and businesses hiring.

The Eight Years of Bush: Prologue

The long story of the Dark Eight Years began with the 2000 election. Bush stole the election in Florida with the help of his brother Jeb Bush, he was the governor of Florida at that time. A margin of 500 votes separated Gore from Bush and all of the ballots were not counted. Gore continued the battle against Bush for a month. When Gore lost, America was denied a Progressive President. America would not have another Progressive President until 2009. It is our fault that it happened, we should've organized a million man march during Bush's inauguration.

The 2012 Presidental Election

When Obama will run for a second term, the economy will be humming along, Afghanistan is going to be a victory and the Democrats will have at least 60 seats in the senate. The great presidency will usher in a age of liberalism. This last happened when FDR won in a landslide, ushering in an age of liberalism with 5 consecutive Democratic terms. If Barack Obama can emulate the success of FDR, we can enable the Democratic Party to be dominant for at least two decades.
In 2012 Barack Obama will definitely keep the strongly Democratic States. This includes all the Kerry states, Iowa, Nevada, Colorado, and New Mexico. The leaning Democratic states would be Virginia, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina and Indiana. The tossup category would include eight states that went Republican in 2008. These states are Arizona, Texas, Montana, Missouri, South Dakota, North Dakota, Georgia and South Carolina. Texas should be the priory here, because Texas can easily go Democratic with a large urban population. The same thing happened with California, the liberal urban areas have a greater population than the rural conservative population, thus the state becomes liberal.

The Three Conservative Stooges: Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly.

These three people are the current faces of the Republican Party. It is sad that the great party of Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt and Eisenhower have become this party of anti-immigrants, racists and bigots. They are probably rolling in their graves right now, because their party has become the party of fear tactics. These leaders hate progressives who change the country for the better.
If you listen to Sean Hannity, you would be shocked by how radical he is. He calls himself "American", but I don't consider a person an American who attacks the president all the time. Rush is a complete idiot, he is a racist and a sexist. He endorses the use of a song called "Barack the Magic Negro". He also wishes that Obama will fail. That is going too far. Bill O'Reilly is in the same boat as Hannity, he is a complete idiot who believes Bush was a very good president. I don't call a two trillion dollar debt, two wars, a terriorist attack, and Katrina a good eight years for the American people. I believe that the Republican Party will split in two, one led by Steele and the other part led by the racists. This is probably the worst move the party has made since electing George W. Bush the president.
